          Biography of Olivia Dabrovskaya

Olivia Dabrovskaya is a student and actress, best known for her role in the film "Schindler's List".

In 1993, Olivia was only 3 years old, but that didn't stop her from playing a small but extremely important role in the acclaimed drama. Olivia appeared on screen as the only bright spot in the entire film - her character's bright red coat was the only colorful element in the black and white picture.

The story of the girl in the red coat is not an invention of Steven Spielberg; it was based on several stories from World War II.

Steven Spielberg was partly inspired by actress and writer Roma Ligocka, the cousin of director Roman Polanski. Roma Ligocka herself had experienced the horrors of the ghetto and not only survived the nightmare but also had the courage to write about her experiences in her biographical work, "The Girl in the Red Coat".

Now, 20 years after the release of the film
